The winners of the coveted Danish and British camping trophies have been announced
Danish Camping Award 2025: Winners announced
There was a sense of excitement and anticipation in the air when DCU National Chair Anne-Vibeke Isaksen announced the winners of the prestigious Danish Camping Award 2025 on Sunday afternoon at the "Ferie for all" trade fair in Herning. With this festive ceremony, all 17 winners now have been announced.
The campers themselves chose the winners in a total of 12 categories, while the winners in four categories relating to camping equipment and DCU of the Year were selected by an independent jury of experts.
We are particularly pleased that one of our customers also won this coveted award: Camping Villaggio Rubicone from Romagna, Italy, secured the award in the "Southern Europe" category. This exclusive campsite on the Adriatic coast impressed with its first-class comfort and outstanding service. Congratulations!
We would also like to congratulate the other nominated customers who made it into the top 5: Camping Zaton (Croatia), Camping Grubhof and Sportcamping Woferlgut (both from Salzburg, Austria). Given the thousands of campsites in Europe, the nomination alone is an impressive achievement and proof of the high quality of these businesses.
Success in Birmingham too: British Camping Oscar for Camping Grubhof
It wasn't just in Denmark that celebrations were taking place. Outstanding campsites were also honored at the Caravan Camping & Motorhome Show in Birmingham, one of the most important events in the British industry. A jury of experts selected the winners in categories such as "Progress & Innovation", "Sustainability & Environment", and "Most Attractive Site".
A special highlight are the two main trophies: the Overall Winners Awards from Alan Rogers and the Caravan & Motorhome Club. This year, the title "Overall Winner Caravan and Motorhome Club" goes to our customer Camping Grubhof.
For over 25 years, the Stainer family and their team have been living by the motto "Experience nature & enjoy comfort" at their campsite in the midst of the breathtaking Salzburg mountains. This dedication has now been recognized with one of the most prestigious international camping awards.
