German Camping Club presents European awards at the Travel & Camping fair in Essen
As part of the Travel & Camping Fair in Essen, the German Camping Club (DCC) once again presented the prestigious DCC European Awards and the particularly exclusive European Platinum Awards on 27th of February. The latter are among the highest honours in the European camping industy - only two campsites across Europe are honoured with this award every year.
With the DCC European Awards, the German Camping Club honours campsites that impress with their exceptional quality, first-class service, innovative concepts and outstanding and overall experience for their guests. A prerequisite for the Platinum Award is that the campsite in question has already been awarded the DCC European Award in the past and consistently meets the highest standards.
We are particularly pleased that several of our customers have once again been among the winners this year.
We would like to congratulate the Feiel family from Camping Olachgut in the Murau region of Styria on this year's award. The campsite, idyllically located directly on the Mur river, impresses above all with its exceptional hospitality and a consistently sustainabel concept. Guests here not only experience the impressive nature of the region, but also life on the adjoining farm, which is home to endangered native animal breeds. Families can actively participate in farm life and gain an authentic insight into traditional agriculture and nature conservation.
Our Croatian customer Aminess Style Camping Atea on the island of Krk was also awarded the DCC European Award. The campsite's spacious pitches stretch along an attractive pebble beach in the quiet fishing village of Njivice. Surrounded by oak forests and complemented by new premium pitches with private pools, the resort combines luxurious comfort with the natural beauty of the Adriatic coast in a unique way.
The Köck family, operators of the Bavarian Holmernhof Camping & mehr in Bad Füssing, also received a very special honour. The multi-award-winning campsite was honoured this year with the coveted DCC European Award in Platinum. The award recognises the consistently high quality and exceptional commitment to guests over many years. With its holistic concept of wellness, health and relaxation, as well as its direct integration into the Lower Bavarian thermal region, the Holmernhof sets standards in European camping.
We would like to congratulate all of this year's winners on this special award and wish our partners and customers a successful camping season. At the same time, we are already looking forward to seeing you again at the DCC European Awards ceremony in Essen in 2027.
