Awards, awards, awards

Special years also require special measures! We are all affected by the pandemic, but we will not let our party mood spoil at the beginning of the year. This year we were all unable to attend the special ANWB gala in Utrecht in person, but as part of a really successful virtual event, the ANWB connected the entire European network!

With chat options and photo transmissions, you could also get a little "party mood" and we can congratulate the entire ANWB team for the really excellent transmission of the event!

The evening was full of highlights! After the welcome from the CEO of the camping division, Jaap van der Linden, Loek van der Loo, camping entrepreneur from Vacanze con Cuore and Marjon Kaper, director of ANWB Reizen, were interviewed about trends and developments in the camping industry.
The keynote was given by Richard van Hooijdonk, a futurologist from the Netherlands, with an exciting lecture on technology developments, megatrends and possibilities for implementations on campsites.

But what everybody has been waiting for, was the annual awards ceremony - congratulations to all winners and nominees!

The IGL team is overjoyed that we had so many award winners among our customers. In the category "The highest rated rental accommodation" we can congratulate Camping Kyllburg in Germany on the award. The Italian campsite Camping Ranocchio was able to secure the award "The lovliest charm camping" and we congratulate Camping 44 from Italy to "The best small campsite".

But that's not all - Donaupark Camping Tulln was able to secure the "Certified CKE campsites" certificate for the second time! In the "Campsite photo of the year", all 3 winning places were customers of IGL. Congratulations to Forest Camping Mozirje, Camping Hell and, as winner, Camping Strobrec!

Unfortunately we could not deliver the congratulations personally this year, but we hope to repeat it in 2022! The IGL team wishes you good health, success and a good start into the 2021 camping season!
